More and more people are keeping their vehicles longer as the average age of a car on the road today is more than 11 years. Considering the cost of a new car is about $31,000 on average, deciding to keep your car rather than buying a new one makes financial sense, says the non-profit Car Care Council. The Car Care Council offers sensible steps to help motorists maintain their vehicles for safety, dependability and value. Some steps are easy like getting the vehicle serviced regularly and just keeping it clean!
Driving after dark brings extra dangers. When you can't see far ahead, you have less time to react to an obstacle in the road, whether that's another car, a person, or an animal. But reduced visibility isn't the only concern. There is so much else going on when you drive at night both inside and outside the vehicle. Have you noticed that when your phone rings at night the glare is almost blinding for a moment? It's much more distracting certainly. With less traffic at night statistics still show that almost a third of traffic fatalities occur between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. The worst times to be on the road are weekend nights, when a lot of people are partying.

These days JASPER products can be found just about anywhere. Just ask Roman’s Design, a California-based business specializing in custom-built machinery.
Roman’s most recent activity involves the Royal Canadian Air Cadets with a contract for 11 glider launching systems as part of their glider training program.
The launcher is a single winch drum built on a solid steel frame. It's powered by a JASPER Remanufactured International 7.3L diesel engine producing 325 horsepower. When placed at the end of a runway, or field, the 6,700 pound system can pull a tethered glider into the air at speeds in excess of 80 mph.
November 2, 2015 JASPER's Engine Division is currently undergoing major renovations at its Wernsing Road location. Associates in the newly designated work area "POD 20" just completed their first unit, a remanufactured Chevrolet 2.2L engine. This particular POD will also produce a variety of GM V-6 engines and big blocks. "Overall, the move from front to back went great," said Ricardo Bravo, Group Leader of POD 20.
The new PODs are incorporating LED overhead lighting, expanded work areas and improved product flow for optimal production.
